Chosen carefully, bedding is capable of truly elevating a bedroom, luring the eye and transforming an otherwise ordinary space into an oasis of calm. When it comes to flat sheets and covers, choosing a colour that compliments the aesthetics of your home is key. Moreover, it should serve as an extension of the atmosphere you wish to curate. But, don’t worry; we’re here to guide you through the process.
Cooler tones, such as snow whites and icy blues, are synonymous with tranquillity and calm and can be utilised to promote a sense of spaciousness and clarity. Placed correctly, a lighter palette can make even the smallest of rooms feel bigger.
Darker shades, such as dusty rose or cloud grey introduce a sense of sophistication and elegance. They are bold, yet refined, striking a perfect balance between contemporary aesthetics and deep relaxation.
For the modern minimalist, neutral tones, such as sands, stones and natural cottons, are often the perfect choice. Earthy colours bring a serene, organic feel to any space, grounding a room with their clean lines and understated elegance.

FAQs
How often should top flat sheets be changed?
It’s a good idea to change your sheets once a week or so to maintain freshness and hygiene. That said, you may want to wash your bedding more regularly in warmer months to ensure skin-friendly sheets night after night.
What is the purpose of a flat sheet?
Ah, the age-old debate: flat sheet or no flat sheet? Those accustomed to the increased comfort of a flat sheet will tell you there’s no better way to sleep. Frankly, we’d have to agree. Placed between a fitted sheet and duvet, a flat sheet serves multiple purposes. It provides a comfortable and hygienic layer that directly contacts the skin, helps to keep the duvet or blanket clean by reducing the need for frequent washes, and can add an extra layer of warmth.
How do you take care of luxury sheets?
For long lasting softness, a flat sheet should be changed every week, and washed at 40°c, amongst similar colours. For skin-friendly sheets, we’d recommend using a gentle, non-toxic detergent.
When it’s time to dry, a washing line with a cool breeze is ideal, but an indoor airer will certainly do the trick on rainy days. If absolutely necessary, tumble dry on a very low heat and remove your sheets from the dryer as soon as the cycle is finished to prevent wrinkles. For crease-free bedding, it’s best to finish the drying process naturally.
What is the best thread count for luxury flat sheets?
Let us stop you right there… thread count refers to the number of threads woven into a square inch of cotton, but it is far from the only indicator of linen quality.
A common misconception is that a higher thread count equals a better product, but this isn’t necessarily the case. In fact, the quality of the cotton is much more important than the number of threads in the linen.
Fortunately, our sheets are made from the finest quality cotton long staple organic cotton creating the best possible sheets with a thread count of 300 - 325 TPI.
Are your flat sheets suitable for sensitive skin?
They sure are. Each and every one of our flat sheets is manufactured using ethically sourced, premium quality cotton, rigorously tested in accordance with OEKO-TEX STANDARD 100 specifications.
This ensures that our organic cotton products are kind to the most sensitive skin, and guarantees that no harmful chemicals have been used at any point in their creation.
What is organic cotton bedding?
Unlike most regular cotton bedding, which is typically mass produced and low in quality, our premium organic cotton bedding is made from high quality, long staple organic cotton fibres which are sustainably cultivated without the use of any synthetic pesticides or fertilisers, ensuring a healthier, eco-friendly product.
Moreover, all of our bedding is GOTs certified, protecting not only the natural environment from which our organic cotton is sourced, but the farmers and workers that play such an important part in the manufacture of our products.
You can rest easy knowing this bedding is gentle on your skin, breathable, and incredibly soft, providing a luxurious and environmentally responsible sleep experience.
